definition of ethical educator

a week full of midterms n assignments had passed

went for an interview for part time tutor jz nw...instead i got a lecture about how to be an ethical educator
is kinda silly as i just want to be a part timer but he (the tutor who briefed me) gave me a whole lecture about he wants to hire an ethical n passionate educator. well, that is nothing wrong with that.
However, the funny thing is all he cares about is how to be creative to make sure all ur students who u teach get A, by keep emphasizing how his students got As after attending his class. what are the skills you shud develop to help ur students get As!

This is totally against my principals.
Shouldn't that an ethical educator should focus on the students' abilities and the learning processes, developing the passions of gaining knowledge
i knew he is only a tuition tutor, but if u r so concern about being an ethical, responsible educator who wana contribute to education systems, r results really the best determinant u shud focus on?
he also lecture a lot abt life experience, the society is very realistic, earning money is not that easy blablabla
i knew that actually n i just smiled n nodded my head
dun wana quarrel with someone who interview me even though i dun really c eye to eye with him
another funny theory he proposed was that is ok to fail once but not twice!
but he say since v r students then it shud be ok if v fail more than twice!
i found this so ridiculous and funny but still i din fight back with him...just waiting him to end his speech so that i can leave soon
in my mind, i cannot stop thinking about what thomas edison said: i did not fail 999times, i just found 999 times ways that you cannot use to make light bulb.
that is inspiring to me!
n as an educator, r he proposing that his students should not fail more than twice?
isnt he should be motivating them instead of cultivating this kind of thoughts to them....i wonder
pity his students....he is sort of creating GET As Robots!

by the way, he commented that i looked less confident just by 1st look
i cant believe that he can make a dispositonal attribution that fast
he claimed that it was my body posture...well i admitted that i dont really have good body posture but i totally deny the fact that i am being less confident...at least not that time...i am confirm
i did defense for myself for a while but i found it quite useless as he is very confident about his own thoughts
thr is another funny thg which is that he tries to act like he knew a lot abt psychology just because he knew a headmaster who hold a PHd in psychology...
hahaha
i dun really wana jump into conclusion that he is superego type of person
but that was no doubt that he is actually a little bit over-confident, still i din criticize him face to face, after all he is older than me...so i think i shud b polite n show my good manner

really had a whole new experience tdy....talking with such ppl who is so confident about himself and own thoughts
it is very challenging n i shall correct my body posture too...1st impression matters...i agreed n i definitely ok to accept the critic
just for his definition for being an ethical n accountable educator, i hold different opinions...since i din confront him just now with what i thought...dun wan to end up arguing for hours as i haven take my dinner n he ended his speech at 1030pm
i am having gastric ady by that time...sigh

so i express my own operational definition of being an ethical educator thru blogging
veli long-winded...just simply for my own expression of feelings n thoughts ^^
too wordy...hehe

Ethical educator is easy to be defined, yet hard to be applied,at least for current society.
I assume the person you're dealing is either tutor in tuition center or in any college.
In our old education system, which is aim to create solders tat are obedient (If you check back the origin of our education system)
Which this system, individual are not allowed to have their own idea and creativity and the only reason we study is to get a good job with high pay.
Well,that is not our topic.
A teacher (or person who guide a student) should be the one that develop one's interest and ability or just transfer the knowledge regardless their interest?
At a point where he is a tutor,I suppose he is not wrong, yet at a real educator point,he may not be the ideal one.
Yet came back to our education system.how many of your teacher really care about your ability and interest? If people really choose their subject or courses with their feelings I doubt there are still so many people who studying Medic.LOL

I did agree with he at a certain point where a person shouldn't fail twice on the same thing.Thomas Edison tells us that never give up,you tutor is actually trying to say (I assume) that it is ok to fail, but not more than once on the same thing, which means that you never learned the mistake.
See the difference?your idea is to tell people never give up no matter how many obstacle you face,my point (and maybe his point) is that it is ok to fail on certain thing for once, but not for failing twice on the same way because it shows that you never learned the mistake. For example, you did a question wrongly in exam 1,It is ok for first time but if you still do the question wrongly for exam 2,it shows that you never learn form mistake, you see the differences?

Less confident?Perhaps cuz you are too small.LOL..XD
Anyway, when you are not sure how to deal with certain people, just keep the mouth shut..haha..
Try your best to have your meal at the right time to prevent gastric..take k=)
